About The Pink Stethoscope App
The Pink Stethoscope App began with a simple conviction: the anaesthesia knowledge that keeps patients safe shouldn't live in one specialist's head; it should be there for every team, on every case.
For more than 20 years, Marcia Fletcher has lived and breathed veterinary anaesthesia, working as a senior anaesthesia technician, educator, international speaker and practice consultant.
She has worked with some of the most complex patients, taught veterinary teams around the world, and seen first-hand what happens when anaesthesia in practice becomes more challenging than expected.
The problem was rarely a lack of knowledge. It was having the time, structure and support to properly assess the patient, anticipate potential complications and prepare for what might happen next, before the pressure was on.
So Marcia built the tool she wished those teams had.
The Pink Stethoscope App brings decades of clinical experience into a practical, guided workflow that supports veterinary teams from pre-anaesthetic assessment through to recovery.
It helps teams work through the important decisions before the anaesthesia begins, identifying potential risks, preparing for likely complications and establishing a clear plan for the patient in front of them. Because when a patient begins to deteriorate, there is little time to catch up.
By following best-practice processes within the app the user will feel more confident when the patient is anything but straightforward.

Andrew Fletcher, Co-founder & Technical Director
A qualified product technologist with a Bachelor of Technology majoring in Product Development, Andrew works in the construction and engineering industry — disciplines where safety, precision and getting the detail right are non-negotiable. He brought that same rigour to The Pink Stethoscope App, designing and building the clinical reasoning engine, the workflow and the platform that brings Marcia's expertise to the point of care.

Our vision is to help veterinary teams bring risk into view earlier, plan clear mitigations, and carry a steadier anaesthesia workflow from plan to recovery, one patient and one case at a time.
Changing the world, one anaesthesia at a time.
